Prior to founding Elite Aura Collective, I built a retail beauty brand with limited resources, relying heavily on DIY decisions that cost time, money, and progress. After enough failed attempts trying to make everything work on my own, I invested in branding and content marketing mentorship and within three months, scaled the brand from retail to wholesale. But growth alone wasn’t freedom. The business still depended on constant self-management, and over time, that pressure affected my quality of life resulting in gut health issues and constant flare ups.

I stepped away and went back to school as a broke college student, and to make money, I started a virtual assistance business as a side hustle. Working inside other women’s businesses every day, I saw the same pattern repeated—ambitious founders building impressive brands that still demanded everything from them, with burnout treated as normal. What became clear was that talent wasn’t the issue, structure was.
